Can't find the drivers for a saitek cyborg 2000. does anyone know where I can get drivers for this thing. I looked at the saitek site and they don't have them. Please help. A close friend of mine is sitting here with his head down with no hope of playing Mech Warrior 4.

Hi Werewolfdaddy,

I found some info somewhere that said you should try using the CH Flightstick Pro option in the Control Panel>Game Controllers area. Don't know if this is the right place depending on what OS you're using, but wherever you select your controller, try that one and see if it works. HTH :)

We tried using custom controller too, but no result. We can get it to respond while in the control panel\gamecontrollers, when we test it, but not in games. It seems that we need the drivers. It saddens me to see a company cease to support their older merchandise in favor of newer products. It seems they don't want you to buy the older controllers, which are much cheaper. :)

That's really weird that they don't have the drivers ANYWHERE on the entire internet (believe me, I looked for quite a while too; same result you guys got - nada). :( That's pretty much how a lot of things work nowadays. You buy it and before long the "new and improved" version is out and if you got the old one they act like they don't even need to give any support to you for it, even though when you bought it, IT was the "new and improved" one. Well, sorry it didn't work for ya, it was worth a shot. Maybe someone else will come across something for it.

Well, I'm back. Found something kinda strange at Maximum3d. It says the Cyborg 2000 doesn't have any software and that it is just set up as a generic controller. :confused: Something else said to set it as a 4 button joystick w/POV and throttle if you're running Windows 2000 or XP. Don't know if this is what you already tried or not, but from what I've read it seems the controller should work without any special drivers provided the game is running under Windows. Still weird that it would work in the setup area but not in the games though.
