hello there guys n gals, well, ive got a big problem as am only using internet cafes to surf the net. but now that i have my mobile phone nokia 6210 could somebody help me to figure out on using my mobile to connect my pc to internet? please.....
i dont have the landline yet and might take centuries before it finally comes to my place.
am not a pc buff yet so kind ly explain the detailed procedure slowly.

You need to purchase a cellular-capable PCMCIA modem card for the laptop, and also an adapter cord for your specific phone. Nokias are very well supported and I recommend 3Com/Megahertz or Xircom for the modem card. Depending on your cellular system, connect speeds could be as low as 9600 baud.

could please advice on how i could use my nokia 6210 to my desktop pc. and i need to purchase.

In that case, I think you would need a PCMCIA card reader for the desktop along with a cellular capable card modem and adapter card for the phone. I can't find anything for a Nokia that can use a serial or USB port directly. The only PCMCIA readers that I have used install in a 3.5" or 5.25" bay and connect to an included PCI card with an included ribbon cable, Actiontec PC750 is the model that I use. I do NOT know if this will support a modem as it is really designed for reading memory cards, and the USB card readers I have found specifically do not support modems. Take a look at this site:
