would you all recommend. I want to buy one for $200 or less, and prefer that it is available at a large retail outfit like Costco, Target, Curcuit City, or some other widespread outfit, you get the idea.

For $200 you will probably end up getting a 2.1mp (if your lucky), but more likely a better 1.1mp. Stick with Canon, Nikon, Olympus. In my opinion, steer clear of Sony. Just go to the store, try some out. See which ones have the features you like, and go for it. Keep in mind, that if you are planning on printing picture, you will probably want at least a 2.1mp camera. For web pics (ebay, etc) a 1.1mp camera would be fine.
