Which one do you think is better?

Better= Pro. Better for you and your price range= Depends on what you need. If you need advanced networking (domains) or just like to have the best, and the price isn't a big deal, go pro. Although I think 2k is better than both.

Whichever you decide the best place that I have found to buy them is at www.buysell101.com. The OEM Version of 2000 or XP were 139.00 and the XP Home was 88 bucks for the full OEM. They get around the buying hardware requirement by sending you a junk sound card or broken heatsink.

Personally I like the Pro version, but it really depends on the budget and what your requirements are.

Unless you need the specific features Pro offers, go for Home, it's cheaper.

"That's all I need more junk to throw into the closet."

I don't think that you would have any trouble throwing it away.
Another thing about this site is that, for builders, they have a pretty good assortment of usable software that you can include on a build and it only adds 40 or 50 bucks, but looks impressive.
Prices change and to look at the latest deals click several times on the BuySell101 logo. I have bought Norton System Works 2002 OEM for $9.00 with the year long subscription, Lotus Office Suite for $11.00, and you can get the Adobe Photoshop LE and other programs that are under 20 bucks.

Pro is only better if you need the functions not offered by Home. If Home gives you everything you need, then Pro is a waste of money.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Pro offers home networking right?

Yes, Pro can be used on both a corporate domain type network or a standard workgroup home network setup. Pro has everything home does and more, Home has no features not found in pro.

Both offer home networking, but Pro supports Domains home does not.

I have Home, and it works just fine for me. If you don't need domain support, and if you don't need some of the extra security support like file encryption, then Home will work just fine for your needs.
