I have built a new machine for a person in our company. This was supposed to be easier, as I thought it was a windows nt computer. The machine is running Win95, and has a lot of custom software installed on it. I was just going to ghost, and send to the new machine. Would it be possible to ghost the 95 image, and then upgrade to windows nt withough messing up the software and data on the PC? IF there is a better way, I would appreciate it if someone could clue me in! Thanks for the help.

All I know, there's no upgrade path from Win95 to Winnt. You probably need to do a clean install, to my knowledge.

Goodluck!

i believe moonlight burner is right. is it absolutely necessary that the machine be an nt machine? if so, then the custom software might not even run on it.

And it's strange though, once custom software requires NT machines, we seems have to stick to NT (playsafe , instead of upgrading), and then you find one day, though the OS is cheaper or worst obsolete :D
Guess NT really did'n't live long enough, and becomes something like a 'transistional OS', that some of us got stuck with:(
