Is it true that windows 98 dosent support DDR ram

Where did you hear that?

I don't think Win98 cares about the type of RAM in use in the system. It might not display the correct type of RAM in system properties, but it will work with DDR.

It's your motherboard that has to support the type of RAM you have. You should be able to load win98 no problem!

I use Windows 98 First Edition and it runs just fine with DDR.
