I hope this is the right place to post this, I'm new, so don't blame me if it's in the wrong place. =p

My computer has been acting a little quirky lately. It works great, but after being on for a while, sounds start to slow it down. Rather, when I click on a link in my browser, and it plays that "click" sound, it usually takes about a couple of seconds before the click sound plays and then the website loads. this slight delay is annoying me a lot. I know it's not just the soundfile, because rebooting solves the problem, but it just seems after a while, that seems to trigger it. when it gets bad, it takes about 4 seconds after i click the mouse for it to play the sound. for some reason, if i click on a link, let the new page load, then click on another link, it usually doesnt slowdown. It seems to slowdown after the "click" sound has not been played for a while. Anyway I hope I've made myself clear (prolly not), I would appreciate any help at all anyone can give me on this subject. My computer is new as of this fall, an IBM 1.4 ghz Netvista, so I don't see why this is doing what it is doing.
