I downloaded Opera/Eudora the other night and when I went to install it, I got this message, "Could not initialize installation, file size expected =11567395, size returned=6867657 This is only valid in Win32 mode." And it wouldn't load.
I thought it was because I was using Mozilla(sounded good then?) So I downloaded using Ie-6 with similar results, different numbers I think, but an exact lack of success.
What am I doing wrong?
How to make it right?:)
Thanks...

For some reason the files you downloaded got corrupted in the process. Best thing to do is delete them and download again. Hope you have DSL/cable modem. :)
You may want to try another download program, esp. one that's not spyware (GoZilla, right?). I used to use it and then switched to Download Accelerator (download.com)- it's free, too, with no spyware.

I have dial-up modem but it normally works ok. I was running Mozilla, is that the same as Gozilla? I thought Gozilla was full of banner ads and such, I will try again.
Thanks
No - Gozilla is an addon download manager. Mozilla is a browser.
If you want to download Opera, get it from an Opera server, and if you want Eudora, download it from a Eudora server.

Hi glc,
I was using Mozilla the browser to go to the Opera site when I got the message above. So I tried Ie-6 (the browser) and got same sort of message. I was downloading from the Opera site as I just went to try again and retraced my steps to see what funky place I may have been in, and it was the Opera site.
I am gonna try again but I am curious what may have happened considering the above circumstances. A plot to keep Opera "offline" :)
It's a great day, eh?
yeah - the java version of Opera should be around 11 megs - if yours wound up at 6 something its an incomplete download. Try a different mirror for your download - I use the official Norway FTP, not one of the US mirror sites.
