I have this video card and have a couple of questions.

1. What is the Ti450-my computer says it's a Ti200. I've heard that the card comes overclocked that's why it says Ti450. Is this true.

2.Is it hard to overclock if it isn't already and how would I do that?
Anandtech reviews said that the drivers that Gainward supplies automatically oc the card when installed, can that be true?

3. Is there any way to tell if the card is already overclocked.

Thanks guys, just a little curious about these things because Anandtech says this is a very good card and even better when overclocked.

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. Try a program called Powerstrip to give you readings on the cards speeds, and allows you to overclock.

Oh and for number 2, I didn't mean its hard to OC, I meant Yes about the drivers. It's not hard to OC.

Hey Tony,
My exact same card DID NOT come overclocked. It was set at Ti200 specs. The software that comes with the card allows you to set the memory and core clock speeds up to a ti450 specs - you have to manually overclock it. The software will not only tell you what speed the card is currently running, BUT ALSO will allow you to easily bump it up to faster speeds. Piece of cake.

Good Luck,

Lord Prism,

Is it hard to OC. And What do you have yours set at. I'm gonna
play with it tonight.

Thanks
Tony

Hey,
I set my CORE CLOCK speed to 200Mhz and my MEMORY CLOCK to 440Hhz and run it like this all the time. For gaming I can crank it up to 240 / 500 but not for too long before I start getting booted out of my game all the time.

GF3 Ti200 175 MHz 400 MHz (DDR)
GF3Ti500 240 MHz 500 MHz (DDR)

The software makes it really easy to do. Piece of cake.

Let me know how your card handles it.........make sure you have adequate case cooling!!

Good Luck,

He probably jsut gets in the mood to see how far he can push the card. I am sure it could go farther than that though.

When you oc your card, one way to measure the difference between normal settings and oced settings is to perform a benchmark. It is fun to see just how far your card can go too!
