I have 98 installed on my new comp... since i dont like xp much.... i was successfully able to upgrade to xp.. but then i reformatted because i wanted to be completely rid of that. Anyways.. i have win98 se.. and when i try to upgrade to win2000 advances server the installation fails because "windows was unable to recognize the version of windows" i really really realyl want 2000 ... and i dont mind 98.. but its just not that stable... someone please help me out.. i really want me new computer to run well! Thanks...:confused: :confused:

You should be able to do a clean install of Windows 2000. Can you boot to the disk at all? Do you have the full version or upgrade? Also, if you're just looking for more stability, I would suggest Windows 2000. Advanced Server may be more than you're bargining for.
