I am taking a class on MS Access. For extra credit I would like to design a database of my MP3 collection. I am new to this, but I want to learn. I don't want to download a program that does it for you, I want to do it myself. Any suggestions or links to sites that my contain information??
Thanks

What exactly is it that you want to know? Have you worked with databases in the past? Is your class beginner or advanced?
If you are familiar with the concept of relational databases, it shouldn't be too hard. Off the top of my head, I would create tables for Artist, Album, Genre, and Track, with relationships between them.

I am taking a college class in Access. We will pretty much be covering as much as we can in this term. The book we are using has many tutorials. For extra credit I would like to build a database. I thought it would be good to use my mp3 collection.

An mp3 database would be a good project, as it would demonstrate many salient database issues. I'd be glad to help if you have any questions.
That's an excellent project and useful down the road as well. You can find a lot of info within Access itself in the help files. The Office website contains a wealth of info and tips. EducateU has some pretty cool online classes that target beginner and advanced users. Once you understand Access fairly well one the Advanced Que guides are gaaod as well if you are like me and like printed material.
