has anyone heard anything about the new office coming out next year (code named "office 11"... how creative)? i got a mailer asking me if i wanted to pay tons of money now to get office xp, and then get office 11 at no additional charge next year.

yea, i'm pretty content with 2000... but xp does have that cool dictation tool.

I agree with ya GLC, and Office 97 still works just fine on Windows XP.

I'm sticking with my 97. M$ doesn't impress me with the new ones. I used 2000 for a while and ended up uninstalling it. I was becoming an aspirin junkie because of it.

LOL I like 2000 better than 97. I like XP as well but not enough to pay for the upgrade. Excel 2000 has a few additional features, Excel XP just makes those features easier to use. I would like to see them bring out a version that tabs apps M$ Works, with Outlook,Word,Excel, and an abbreviated version of Access.
