I have a prblem with my display. On boot up my comp boots regularily and then after an undetermined amount of time (usually about 5 mins or so) my display goes crazy. The icons on my desktop go white and in internet explorer the characters and buttons blend in. The icons on my menu`s also go white.
The picture is perfect on boot up then it goes bad. It is almost although I have been dropped down to 32 colors but they don`t blend well.
I have checked the monitor connection and settings and says I am on a 32 bit color setting. I have done a virus check and ran system mechanic. I have also updated my n`vidia graphics drivers.
There is also a certain amount of yellow pixels on the screen and surrounding the frames of windows.
I have an athlon xp 2100, 512 DDR Ram, a Ti 4600 graph card, a MAG plug`n`play monitor and run win 98SE
I have been display trouble-free for about 5 months with same configuration.
Has anyone else had the same problem ?
Found a solution or could give me an idea of what it could be ?
All help and suggestions would be grately appreciated.
A hopeful thanks in advance

Hi scouser20000,

Sounds like the video card is overheating. How's the case cooling? Any fans installed? You could try using a slot cooler, goes under the AGP video card and helps remove the heat it's generating.
