Email Client tha refuses to render HTML

Absolutly, I have been getting emails that access resources on the internet such as pictures which are actualy viruses or gore, and also I have gotten soe emails with ActiveX controls in there, needless to say I doubt the embedded objects were not malicious so I want to disable all HTML rendering in emails and just display the raw code if anything because nothing good really comes from HTML emails, yeah occiosinaly u run into someone with a small graphic or someting at the bottom of their email... but thats it. So I was wondering is there a way to disable HTML rendering in Outlookexpress 6, if not what is a good email client and news reader that can do it all but also has nice security features...

If you want a truly secure e-mail client that's free and very powerful, you can't beat Pegasus Mail. It does have a rudimentary HTML renderer, but it won't "talk back" like true HTML mail clients do. It doesn't do news, but Forte Free Agent does a great job there. Be aware that neither of them are as user friendly as Outhouse Express, but the underlying power of the programs is there and they have been around since before M$ even acknowledged the existence of the Internet.
