OK... I need some translation from my Spanish speaking friends (I don't know quite enough) to help fix a laptop

el controlador que me permite ver bien los elementos de la pantalla no funciona y dice que tengo que instalar uno, no se que hacer porque mi pantalla no se ve bien

That's what I need translated to get a better understanding of what is going on. Thanks guys.

The controller which lets me see the elements of the screen well does not work and says that I need to install one, I dunno what to do as my screen doesn't show up good.

"porque mi pantalla no se ve bien" sounds that his display doesn't show correctly (maybe fuzzy or something like that).

Anyway i don't quite understand what he means by this controller that lets him see the screen well and tells him to install one. What would that be ?
If you don't mind it could be helpful to post more. . unless you already know what's going on ;)

From BabelFish:

"the controller who allows to see or the elements me of the screen does not work and says that I must install one, that not to become because my screen is not seen or"

Huh

My video driver isn't working and it [Windows??] tells me that I need to install one. I dunno what to do coz my screen isn't displaying right.

Perhaps the video driver was lost or corrupted and it messed up the display? Perhaps the screen is in the ugly 16 colors 640x480 display?

The controler that lets me see the things on my screen isn't working and says I need to install one. (I am guessing he is refering to a driver, video maybe?) I don't know why I can't see the screen well.

My guess video driver problem, but my spanish is ok at best and my computer knowledge is worse.

OK, thanks.... kinda making sense. It's on a laptop, but you cannot go to the display properties because you get a general protection fault error. I may be posting back with some more detils on the error tomorrow. The display doesn't fill the screen, it's only about 1/4th the size that it should be.

I'm not sure about Toshiba but a lot of notebook manufacturers provide self executing drivers that remove the current and install the new one. I would look on Toshiba's Site.
