Just installed win98se and I missed the partitioning instructions and ended up with one king size partition. Is it easier to just use the cd over again or do the partitioning from the boot floppy? Can anyone tell me when to look for the partitioning instructions so I can be ready for it this time? I know it's before the format.Don't know how I could have missed it.

Now that he is installed and has working windows on full HD as one partition, aside from reloading windows, couldn't something like partition magic work, so he does not have to reinstall windows all over again?
Sure you could use Psrtition Magic, if you have a copy. But if it's a clean install with no time invested it would be easier and faster just to start over.

Partition Magic would be the fastest but it cost money.
Slowest is to redo everything but free (except time)
Hmm...is there a freeware out there that do partition resizing ?

Besides, mistakes are how we learn.
Like cricket said. FSIDK (partition) thenFORMAT.
