When I play any level of Quake II that has water and I jump in the game shuts down and PC returns to the Desk Top. This has only happened recently. I have made no changes or added any hardware to the PC. I don't want to reload the game as I am almost 3/4 of the way through.
Any ideas?

Update Quake 2 and your drivers. Any changes to your settings? I had to patch quake2 to keep it from kicking me out at high resolutiions. Save files are not too hard to find if you wanted to reinstall game.

No change were made to any settings.
Update drivers? Do you mean the video card driver?

Just do a search in Google for "Quake ii patches". And you can update your video drivers at the nVidia web site: www.nvidia.com

Be sure to read the documentation of the patches. I don't know if save games will work after you apply the patch.

If the patches don't work you could try playing around with the games resolutions and see if it makes a difference.
