After installing Pop-Up stopper a few weeks ago, I don't get any pop-ups.

I don't get any popups here and don't have any stopper software it must be settings....
like it better without popups but can't use the software case use too many things that require same scripting and they all interfere
Kazaa makes popups for you. They are watching us too. :o

We're kind of at the will of the company we sell the banner space to. We basically put their code on all of our web pages and they setup banners to do whatever they want. David Risley has put in many requests to remove pop-up ads, and after a while the requests seem to work.
All I can really say is that I'm sorry that we all have to endure the pop-ups, but remember, isn't hitting the "x" to close them a little to do to support the site?

if that only would work,
after closeing the add, as soon as I would click on anything it would come back and disable everything on pcmech, had to minized the window close it again open pcmech and as soon as I click on anything it was back, and unablel to do anything on pcmech as long as the add was there, I could not get rid of it and could not use pcmech eather,
read the post on the host thing , down doaded it and not the add has never came back.
I don't think I should be forced to download things to add to my system to be able to use this site.
I have been here for over two years and have never had this kind of problem before.

I keep this one on my tool bar to kill the few popups I get. It will close multiple popup windows with one click. I only use the "other" part of it.

Look for clsie26.
Pop Ups are as annoying as telemarketers, But I guess somebody is buying something from these people or they would quit doing it. Alt + F4 works for me.

I always use CRTL+W for some reason instead of ALT+F4
It will also get rid of the annoying ones with no title bar (and prevents you from closing another app by mistake)
I have never tried that but I have accidently closed something I didn't mean to. I'll give it a shot.

The hosts file idea does work and you don't have to run any software to use it. Adsubtract also works fine, but if you have a host file and you install adsubstract it will change it for you. If you want to keep it rename your host file before you install. You can just add an extension.
