Source Drive Problems

I am having problems getting Adaptec EZ CD Creator to use my Toshiba 6x DVD ROM as a source drive. The computer freezes if I use the DVD while Adaptec is running.

The Mitsumi CD-RW apparently works just fine. It burns with no problems. But as of now, I have to use it to extract files or as both the source and destination drive of direct CD copy.

Any ideas of how to get my Toshiba DVD to be my source drive?

The CD-RW is working just fine as both a source and target drive. There's only one swap. Not like the old days of floopy driven computers when numerous swaps were necessary.

But it turns out the problem was that I had to uninstall the Ali Busmastering drivers that came with my Asus board! Now I can use either drive as a source.

Actually, in a future computer, I might just get an all-in-one CD, DVD, and CD-RW!
