TROUBLE W/QUICKEN BASIC 2000

i had trouble with quicken basic 2000 when i installed win/me couldnot access it, any ideas, is there a problem running quicken basic 2000

Quicken 2001 is compatible with Windows 2000 Professional and Windows NT 4.0 as well as Windows 98 and 95. We plan to test future versions of our software on Windows ME. Nicely worded although totally useless.
I guess it means that they KNOW there's a problem, but they're NOT doing anything about it for now.
Can you backup all the important stuff, and attempt a total reinstall?

REBOOT YES THAT SEEMS TO BE THE BEST BET FOR ME, UNLESS SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME SOME WAY ELSE

After I installed WinME I purchased and installed Quicken 2001 and then restored with my old quicken's backup floppy. Everything runs fine. Hope this helps somewhat.

sounds like good news to me and i will give that a try,
i have quicken 2000 basic and could load the back up floppies from them,i would like to use win me

I also have Quicken 2000 Basic. It seems to work well without a problem. I backed up the data onto my zip drive and loaded everything onto a formatted partition. I then loaded Quicken and restored everything from the backup. It seems to work well.

I updated(?) my system from 98SE to ME and have had no problems with Quicken Basic 2000.

Try Microsoft Money. I'll bet it will work fine with ME. I have heard many horror stories about Quicken's problems when you upgrade to a newer version of their software.
