TCPOptimizer ( freeware ) from ,

Intelli-Dial-UP v2.51 Freeware .
Intelli-Dial-UP boosts your modem, LAN, or cable connection speed to make your Internet access
up to five times faster.
The program is an Internet boosting utility that modifies a number of settings in the Microsoft
TCP/IP stack to give you the fastest way to access the Internet. By default, both Windows 95 and
98 do not come optimized for people accessing the Internet with a modem nor do they come
optimized for a cable modem, but instead come optimized for people accessing the Internet with
an In-House Network (LAN). By adjusting and optimizing your computer for a modem connection,
Intelli-Dial-UP can increase your connection to the Internet.

Alright these ar my TCP analyzer results any suggestions on what i need to change and to what values?

TCP options string = 020405b40103030101010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 128480
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 1 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 5139.2 kbps (642.4 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2055.68 kbps (256.96 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 51 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

Upload speed looks right - most cable is capped at 128 up. However, your download should be a lot higher, most caps are around 1500. What cable company are you dealing with?

Spend some time over at the forums also at dslreports.com, especially under Cable and/or Broadband tweaks. Run the above test and see what it tells you.

I believe that Mediacom uses the AT&T network, and should give you 1500/128 unless they are already oversubscribed for their infrastructure.
