Let's say I have a web server at home and I want to host my web pages , so to have my server connected to the Internet what do I need to do ? do I have to buy an IP ? and from whome ? from a local ISP or from Internic or who else ?do I have to have a special line such as T1 ?
please explain...thanx

Well, it depends what you are planning on hosting. If you just want a basic file server that will not get very much traffic, you will not need a special line. Your existing Isp should be fine (If it is high-speed). You can buy a permanent IP from your service provider, or use a program such as DNS2GO to assign a domain name to your server. There is a tutorial on this site, called Build your own Server, that can help you out.
