I've been looking into getting a DSL line instead of my sloooow 56k modem. Unfortunately, I'm 18000ft. from my CO, which means that ADSL is out of the question  , so I'm stuck with IDSL-144.
How much should IDSL cost? A friend recommended http://www.winfire.com (he doesn't have it yet). It's $10 a month plus $200 for a DSL modem. I tried emailing tech support to ask if the $200 includes the installation, but they haven't answered since I emailed them a week ago  . I would think that their would be an additional fee for installion because the phone company nneds to install some hardware for the DSL to work. Would their be a fee from the phone company for installation? This plan does not have a banner ad. Is this ISP any good?
Is there anything else I should know about DSL? Does anyone know of any good DSL ISPs? I have a limited budget, so the cheaper the ISP, the better :) .
Thanx for your patience
