People who chew really loud.

People who screw with their computer settings, and then tell me, it just doesn't work, now. I really didn't do anything.

homer15

well, the same people that n8 is talking about, and also people that flake out on your plans at the last minute. this is even more annoying when it's something big that you need more people to participate in.

Uncooperative people. Especially when trying to help them with computer problems.

People that ask very stupid questions. I mean things that you cant believe they dont have a clue about.

People that take you for granted.

People that ignore you when you go somewhere together.

I could go on ;)

Well, I’ll just stick to the biggest one, which is when I see an able-bodied person parking in a handicapped parking spot.

Ditto to that. What I don't get is that these people are obviously planning to go into a store / business. While in this business do you think they really think about how many steps it will take them to get around? They save themselves about 30 - 40 steps by parking in someone else's spot, and then walk aimlessly in a mall. Makes sense to me.

I thought of another one...People who flat out lie to me.

homer15
08-26-2002, 05:18 PM
you know when someone's lying, and they have that initial blank look on their face then they tell their lie... i hate that look. i'm fairfly honest, and i appreciate it when people are honest right back.

people that are color blind at stoplights!!!!!!

sdkfz
08-26-2002, 06:39 PM
Hey, not fair, being color blind is genetic (I am both red/green and blue/green color blind)

Now what I would agree with is those people who don't know the standard order of lights (red/yellow/green from top to bottom here in the states) and/or those who are not paying attention to the changing lights.

Unless you are talking about the single flashing red/yellow lights, there I must admit that unless I know the area, or I have some one in the car to ask what color the light is I treat them all as Red. Better to annoy someone is is not color blind than to kill some one else, sorry bout that, but I do not think I could live with myself knowing that I killed some one cause of an error like that.

people who act like they know everything about computers. They sit there and start telling me how much they know and that they installed there own modem or somthing. and they think they are experts.

Thats when I tell them that I fix computers for a living and started this job working on Main Frames. which are computers that would would boogle there minds.

it makes me sound stuck up. up I have spent years getting to this level and don't like people thinking they can get there in a year or so.

People that refuse to stay on their side of the road. Here I am follwing the big curve ahead and here comes some !@$**%G idiot that refuses to stay on his side of the road and instead is heading straight towards me on my lane. If you can't stay on your side of the road then "SLOW DOWN!" If that doesn't do it then quit driving.

People who can't cut to the chase. I don't want a disertation when I ask someone a question -- give me the cliff notes version.

I love my wife to death, but there are times that I have to bite my tongue when she's telling me about her day -- every little detail included down to the color of people's clothes and what they ate.

People who get peeved at other people(just kidding).
what gets me is leaving shopping carts in parking places instead of putting them up,and i have observed it' mostly the young that do this, the old crippled people usually put them up,and what lil jimmy said.i told a young man one time that he must be mentally handicaped because i didn't see any physical problem and he got mad.

oryx

Bad drivers:mad: i.e drivers who
- either drive way too fast or way too slow
- tailgate
- refuse to obey lane restrictions,
- e.g. they proceed straight ahead in a right turn only lane
- take up 2 lanes or drive down the middle of the road
- cause gridlock
- turn suddenly without signalling
- appear not to be in control of the car because they are
- fiddling with the radio, talking on a cell phone, eating,
- looking at the baby in the infant seat, fixing their face or hair

I could go on all day, but I won't.

cutting in line. I can't believe how often adults cut in line. whether they are at the airport, grocery store, or whatever. it seems to happen the most in traffic. people always seem to cut in line when I am around. every time I see it I want to confront them on it but I never do and I just get mad.

Pet peeves are simply reflections of your own failings imposed on others.

Strive to accept each person encountered without condition.

Remain calm while others lose control.

Focus on the good and beauty of the world.

Above all do not become angry with anyone who mouths fortune cookie philosophy.

While I agree with that people looking down their noses at a question is a pain, I would submit that the guy at best buy didn't know what he was talking about. Otherwise he could have explained the difference. "Just coz..." is the comment of the ignorant.
