After installing Win98 SE I've noticed that my Add/Remove comes up totally empty. I know there should be somethings there but there is nothing. Has anyone else seen this and how did you fix it. I'm pretty sure my Original Win98 disc has gone bad. Thanks

larry1135,
On a fresh install using "customize", mine comes up empty too.
If you did a "typical" install, you would at least have Outlook Express.

I have seen that before as well sometime's you can fix it with TweakUI. Xtech might have a registry fix for it as well. Ususally when you start adding programs they as well as windows components will show up.

Hi Tuf,
How would I fix this with TweakUI?

Thanks

Hi Larry & all

It's OK for Add/Remove to be completely blank, if you've just installed Win98 2nd Ed. You haven't added anything yet, so nothing is listed.

The Windows components don't show up in Add/Remove's main screen, they show up if you select the "Windows SetUp" tab: this is the screen that checks what components you have installed, let's you view them, and decide if you wish to add anything.

Not sure that TweakUI would do much on a fresh install (though it does offer to get rid of those annoying arrows on the shortcuts!)
