can anyone tell me how to change the splash screen i get an hp products screen that i would like to get rid of.

Hi crow,

In Windows Explorer, look for the hidden file msdos.sys. You'll have to change the attribute so you can make some changes to the file, so right click on the file and choose Properties. Uncheck the read only attribute, save and exit. Now open Notepad and then open the msdos.sys file. Look for the entry called "Logo" and change it from 1 to 0, save and exit. If there is no "Logo" entry, just create it and make it look like this:

Logo=0

Remember to change the attribute of the file back to read only when you're done.

You can also look in your Bios Setup & see if there's an entry entitled "Full Screen Logo" (or something like that). It's in some Bios Setups, but not all. It would probably be on the same menu as the other Bootup options like "Enable Quick Boot" and the boot drive order, etc.
