What is in the Powerpack? Any GE4 except the MX series will beat any Radeon card except the 9700...

Hi eko976,

Are you going to be viewing DVD's or are you going to download video from a digital cam-corder to edit it?

I think the ATI would be a better choice in this case.

NAW GAINWARD GAINWARD *startschant*

I got my VIVO working!!!!

and I would say its awesome. Very nice quality up to the 30FPS. Works very nicely . I output to a VCR then input back on. Ill have some vids this weekend.

Powerpack basically has all software needed for Movie editing. The Golden sample mean with the touch of a button you can increase performance alittle. But With that card I run between 4400 and 4600 easily......and GPU on back side and mem are cool to the touch.

Yeah, I think the radeon's have a better reputation for 2d and just being at least decent all around. GF4's are better gaming cards no doubt.

ATI or Matrox for video editing - Nvidia for gaming.

they are both quality cards, and i doubt you will be disappointed at all by one of them. its up to what you wanna do.

Depends on what you want...

A card with drivers that work - nVidia

The biggest pain in the world and a claim to have better video...ATi

A card with drivers that work, unparalleled 2D display, fast as heck, and inexpensive = Matrox G550
