if your looking for that kind of quality.....look in the Home theater section of your local Audio king or Best buy.
You will never go wrong buying Klipsch. The 4.1's sound great. Their are a couple others out there rated as good for less money. If I we were looking for high end computer speakers I would go with Klipsch because they are always good and durable.

I don't know too many speaker brands very well, but I have the Altec Lansing Model 251 (5.1 for $100) on a TBSC, and it works very well, and Creative Inspire 5.1 is also very good, $100, and lately, in my area at least, there have been rebates around $20 for the Inpires.

Logitech Z-560 sound as good as the Klipsch and are much more affordable. And an added bonus -- they have more power.

basically the name makes them more expensive....klipsch is know for high end components so they can command a higher price and people will pay it just to say they have a set....

Logitech is definetly the best value in speakers from their bottom end Z340 to the Z560 speakers. I recommend them highly as you can't go wrong with the price/performance that the Logitechs offer.

ahhh...i see...kinda like buying nikes.....their not really worth 140 its just a name.....although a name that does have a good rep..but still overpriced
Could be but they are well made and last. I have no experience with the Logitech's but they are a good company as well. One factor when buying speakers is how long will they sound they way they do when they are new? Some cheap speakers sound really good when new but a couple of months down the road they will degrade enormously. Better ones will sound good for years.
I'm not condeming the logitechs I have never even seen a set in person. I don't have a set of Klipsch speakers either. PC Sound is not that important to me. I have a set of Cambridge FPS2000s I bought really cheap.
Logitech bought out Labtec - which is the company that pioneered PC speakers. Labtec was always known for speakers that were an excellent no-nonsense value and have always had quality construction. I would think that the current line will last a long time, they are well-made.
I have no quality issues with any of the well-known brands - Klipsch, Cambridge/Creative, Logitech, Altec, Boston Acoustics, Polk Audio, Yamaha, JBL, Harmon Kardon. Heck - even the sleazy Midilands and Justers aren't too bad with their higher end stuff.
