i havent been paying attention to the latest news recently. so i am kinda out ofit as regards new games. i know doom III and, UT2003 are being anxiously awaited as was WCIII (which seriously kicks A**). But other than that, has their been any other breaking news as regards games?
NOLF 2 and Unreal 2 are on their way too.

Mafia is supposed to be good. I think as far as waiting for titles, you mentioned them already w/UT2003 & Doom3. I've got WC3, between that and the UT2003 demo, i don't even touch my PS2. What else could you want?
Have you tried medievil:total war or battlefield 1942?
I think NOLF is a fantastic game, a great mixture between stealth and action.

I completely agree with you aym_7.
Does anybody know when DeusEx 2 is being released?

I'm still hunting for a good new MMORPG.
Earth & Beyond has just gone gold and StarWars Galaxies is due out in December.
I feel a new obsession coming on.
Which to choose ?
As for Deus Ex 2, Eidos site says 2003, but there is no specific date.

I just DL'ed the NOLF2 demo today, it's really nice. It plays like Deus Ex except not quite as clunky with the fighting. And no endless dialogue!
The system req's are out of this world though, I have an AMD 1.4Ghz with a Geforce 3 Classic, and I only rate *medium* detail in system specs. For high detail you need a GF4 and at least a pentium 2ghz or equivalent!! Whoa... The models look excellent in medium detail though... but the urge to overhaul my system is becoming great.... ooooohhhh!
I'm stuck though, if anyone reads this, what do I do when the dude tells me to find the new Ninja Meeting place? I think I was supposed to listen to the ninjas talk rather than indiscriminantly kill everyone... but uhhhh, I did.

Gold means it is in it's final retail form. They just have to mass produce them, put them in boxes, etc. Not gold like in music where you sell 500,000 copies or whatever.

Well, as I recall, a Gold version of a game is the final release plus extra levels and/or extra features. I think v1r4L fr3nzy has the same idea and that's why he said that.

um, i just cheacked gamefaqs and the release date is yet to be announced... theyre probably still working out the bugs.
The Gold thing- looks like a semantics issue- I've seen Gold used both as Texus and Nuclear use it-- for instance, here the use of Gold as Texus defined it:

Regardless, both games should be on the shelves soon.
