Hey all!

I've heard the definition of this before, but I don't remember; what is dot/pixel pitch on a monitor? I'm considering buying a 15 inch LCD from NEC/Mitsubishi, and NEC makes good stuff and its a great price, but the pixel pitch is .30mm, and I'm told that .30 is a little high, and lower is better. Anyone know?

Doesn't matter. What matters is the native resolution and that is 1024x768 for 15". So far I have only seen laptop screens that have higher resolutions for a 15" TFT.
Best is to run the TFT in its native resolution, so check what that is (std. is 1024x768 for 15").

The KDS RAD-5 is 0.297, so that sounds like it's pretty much standard.

It's hard to compare a LCD by dot pitch. Resolution is a much better number to look at. My 15" notebook is 1600x1200 and has an awesome screen. 1024x768 on a 15" screen looks bad to me. I have yet to see a LCD with less than an 18" screen that has impressed me. I would like to see a 20 to 21 inch with a resolution of 1920x1440 or greater. I would probably buy that.
