Okay, obviously this is not the latest whizz bang graphics card but if I bought this graphics card, would I expect much of an improvement in my game playing experience over my existing GeForce2MX 32MB?

Any opinions appreciated.

OH ya, you'd see a fairly big difference in the games of today, that don't use any of the Geforce 3 features, but it will really shine better then the GeForce2MX in games that do use the new features, and triple the memory from before should also prove useful. I've a Visontek Geforce 3 ti 200, with 64Mb of video memory, and I'll tell you that I saw a huge difference from my previous TnT2 ultra 32mb. I have no complaints with these cards, they are a great bang for your buck, and will hold out well until Direct X 9, well if you're into gaming that is...

Same situation here, I upgraded to a GF3 Ti200 64MB from a 32 MB TNT2 non-ultra and my games sure ran faster and at higher resolutions.

Plus, your GF has the MX suffix, so you will surely see an improvement. My old TNT2 was *faster* than my friend's GF2 MX 200.

Yeah, you'll see a difference...but you're not going to be playing newer games at 1280x1024 ...mine lags with UT2003 a little.

I'd recommend having also between 256 and 512 in RAM. When I cut the RAM from 256 to 128 DeusEx became a real dog in open spaces.

Ive been playing Max Payne and with a DF3 Ti500 it runs extremely well-Im running 512 meg memory-seems nowdays 256 is almost a minumium.

I went to the shop today and noticed another graphics card only slightly more expensive. It was a GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB.

So although I did buy the ABIT GeForce3 Ti200 128MB over the MSI GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB I am a bit in the dark as to why the GeForce4 was only a few bucks more.

I asked one of the shop assistants, an old guy what the difference was and he said "64MB", lol.

Are the two cards performances comparable?

64mb and one generation of GPU. I personally would have gone for the GF4.

Yeah,a generation would meant a new features and higher performance.I'll also gone for the GF4......But now I think you should enjoy the card.....as it was also a very powerful card.
Maybe I should upgrade my GF2MX to GF4 Ti4600 or somethin:)
