Q3 errors

Whenever i try to get a list of servers in Q3TA or Urban Terror nothing happens. If i drop down the console " ~ " i see the following;

Requesting servers from the master...
Couldn't write q3config.cfg
Couldn't write missionpack

I can play UT2K3 online though. I have cable. I can play a server with just me and some bots in Q3 but not Urban Terror. Any help will be appreciated.

If you can play UT and not Q3, the problem lies within the game and porbably not your system. Have you looked for patches/updates for the game? Make sure you have the latest.

I have the 2.5 of Urban Terror and and 1.31 of Q3.

I am using a Linksys router BEFSR41 ver 2. It has firmware version 1.42.7 Apr 02 2002 there is a version 1.43 09/04/2002. Would downloading it help my problem?

Check the forums dedicated to the game and see if there are any issues with Linksys routers - you may need to forward some ports or something. It wouldn't hurt to update your firmware, Linksys makes it extremely easy to do so.
