Its a great SIM. I would go with the Home edition as the professional only adds a few aircraft and some software that allows you to build maps/planes. However you need to have a high-end system to run it at it's full capabilities. It pushed my P3 1.0 and Geforce 2 to the limits. It runs fine on the system in my signature.
Note: there are some known conflicts (but no patch) with this game and the Turtle Beach-Santa Cruz audio card. The game runs, but you have to set all of the sound settings to low.
I also recommend X-Plane!

I'm playing FS 2002 with a P3 933MHz, 512 of PC 133 RAM and old Maxigamer Phoenix card. The graphics really suck! Been thinking about getting a Geforce 3 TI200 or possibly a TI4200 as prices keep dropping. Do you think game graphics would be acceptable with this upgrade to my system?

My graphics were choppy with a Geforce 2!
This is a very graphics intense program (along with other CPU sucking applications) a GeForce 3, or better 4, would smooth things out. My game runs smoothly on my system (specs in my sig.), but your processor along with a better video card should do the trick!
Happy flying!
