HUGE probs with office 2k premium

whenever i open a document, like 2 seconds later the windows just closes. Ive tried excel,word, and powerpoint and they all do the same

ive even tried re-installing again, but was no good

can anyone help!!!?

I use Office 2K Premium with Win ME and I have no probs at all.

I have seen a problem like that at work with an Office 2K Pro CD. It turned out that it was a bad copy from M$ because no matter what computer we put it on, it did the same thing that yours is doing. :(

i had what sounds like the same problem. i had office 2k and when i applied the office service pack, every time i opened an application it quit after about 2 secs.

i found out that the cause was that my copy of office 2k was a beta version and the service pack has a list of blacklisted serial no's and mine was on it. the way round it was to get an office 2k keygen and create a new key. then u have to edit the registry to change the serial no to one thats not on the blacklist.

once this is done the applications open fine

only trouble is ive lost the document that explains how to do this, if you wqnt to have a look for it, i got the doc from microsofts knowlegebase - search for office shutdown problems or something similar

the reason office dont work is eather you have a unlicenced copy or a bandseriall no if you know its a leagle version of office the contact microsoft and thay will help you ifs it a copy then your out of luck
