I am trying to make a business card but the templates I downloaded have weird extensions like .qxt for Quark and .pdf for Pagemaker so I can't figure out how to open these up and which program on Win 98 I should use or whether I have to download additional software to use them.

I think you will need Quark to open quark files. as for .pdf many programs can read this but i don't know what software you are trying to use with the template.

What are you using to make your business cards?

you can download a trial of QuarkExpress. I am not sure if they still use watermarks though. (Probably not, I never had a problem with watermarks in Quark betas or demos before)

What are you using to make your business cards? -- What do you mean? business card paper, Avery 8376, 10 to a side. Quark website wasn't too helpful or user friendly but maybe I'll poke around there some more. Thanks guys

well, i would suggest downloading a demo of QuarkExpress, but it isn't very easy to use at first.

Since you are using templates that have particular extensions like that, it really limits your choices as to what to use.

Perhaps creating your own would be better? Not sure.

It all sounds too complicated. I can probably do it easy and fast in Word Pad if I can get it aligned right.

M$ Publisher does a decent job with business cards if you have access to it. There is also a real nice shareware program called Business Card Designer Plus.
