System restore failure???

Hi everyone...

My customer claim that his system hang after using system restore... the PC hang right before desktop with this message...

"Mprexe has coursed an error (unknown). Mprexe will now close, if you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer"

After manual restart... still with the same hang and same message... restarting in safe mode also the same... I have no other choice but to reinstall windows...

Can any one put some light light into this... what exectly is mprexe???

My customer use system restore because.. he claim cannot defrag because certain files is missing....

It seems to be a dos app- WIN32 Network Interface Service Process that is the description I get under properties should be in c:windows\system
