I have an odd question. I'm sure some of you are expecting the standard: 'how does this work' type of inquiry.
I have Norton System Works 2002.
I'm running Win2k, and have had no problems with it's anti-virus and other features at all, except one:

I am having a helluva time INSTALLING the Ghost portion of the program!

I'm not getting any errors of any kind, crashes, ar anything. I'm simply unable to literally install it!

I've gone to the correct area of the installation process where I may choose the components I wish to install, chosen Ghost and it simply does not make it to my HD. Period.

I've selected full installation, partial with Ghost selected, ONLY ghost installed...... I've tried 'em all!

I've cleaned the registry (I know Norton gets stubborn when it's time to uninstall), and I just can't seem to figure out why it won't load to my HD.

Any ideas are welcomed!

Thanks in advance
Fish

Hi kjjfish,

Ghost is a strange animal and doesn't install like we are used to traditionally seeing.

You can probably see the Ghost Image viewer in the SW menus, but not Ghost itself, correct??

Do a search for the file GhostPE.exe -- That's Ghost!! It runs only in DOS mode, which the safest method is to build a Ghost startup disk. You can run it from Windows, but until you very comfortable with using it, I wouldn't recommend it.

Search this forum for "Ghost" as there is a recent thread on Ghost that has some nice links in it on how to use Ghost.
