Eudora - Move files to new PC?

I have a Zip drive /removable disc setup on both machines and have been trying to save the Eudora 4.2 in/out box , address book etc from the old machine, transfer the disc, and then drag and drop them into the Eudora folders in the new PC but its not working. With Eudora the data is not getting into the new mailboxes, although the proceedure has worked fine with all the other programs like My Documents etc that i've been moving. What could I be doing wrong ? Thanks,

I just got the instructions below off the Eudora site. I don't understand what it means by 'paste directory' 'maintain same directory path' and ' ensure system dll files properly updated'.
What I am doing is drag and dropping files from the Zip disc onto the corresponding file icon in the new machine and it is not working.eg. in.mbx onto in.mbx. I mean it appears to transfer, but when you open the program there are no messages in the box.

" If you have a mass storage device, ( zip drive, jaz drive ), or some type of file transfer utility, ( laplink, networked computers ), then you can do the following: Copy the entire contents of your current Eudora directory where your eudora.exe file is located on the source machine. Next paste the directory from the source machine to the destination machine and maintain the same directory path. Then reinstall eudora in the new location to ensure that system dll files are properly updated.
If you are note able to do the above then you will need to copy the following files from your old Eudora directory to the new directory where you installed it:
Mailboxes: Everything with the .mbx extension and the corresponding files with .toc extensions. If you have an .mbx file with no .toc, Eudora will rebuild the table of contents from the mailbox file. "

You need to copy the whole Eudora directory structure over to the exact same tree location THEN reinstall Eudora.

Man what a job ! Done ! Key problem was the word 'directory' I had forgotten that that was what folders were called. Also the Eudora folder is inside a folder of the software manufacturer Qualcomm, which had to be included in the path. Phew !! Thanks glc- I'm setting up with a new mobo and chip you recommended.
