My friends Comp has a Window98SE before, but then he upgraded it to XP Home Ed. Now she having problems with her CD and DVD.
Is it possible to dual boot (install Win98SE again with XP Home already with it) so that she could use her devices and how do we do it?
TIA.

Hi jeresimo,
There have been reports that upgrading from Win9x to WinXP does create strange behavior in PC's. It's recommended that a clean install of WinXP be performed instead of an upgrade.
Does the PC even recognize the CD and DVD? Are they both on the secondary IDE channel? In Device Manager, is the secondard IDE controller marked with a yellow or red exclamation mark?
You could try booting into Windows Safe Mode and remove the CD-ROM and DVD drives and then let Windows find them again.
