midi sound file

trying to play this file, but cannot with media player 7.0 or realplayer.

In folder options set this file to both standards.

what am i missing.

Probably nothing, the file may be corrupt, or may not really be a midi, but some other format.

If the file isn't too big, why don't you post it so we can try.

Interesting: tried it is a different pc and it opened with internet explorer 6.0, other pc has 5.0.

the browser must not be new enough or have the right extension to play.

That's strange - the usual default midi player is Windows Media Player.
