Does anyone know where to get the 3d drivers for an ATI Radeon 7500. If not where to get them, how to compile them? Thank for the help. I'm using Redhat 8, btw.

Yes, I am talking about 3d support for x. Sorry I didn't specify. Anyway, I guess I'll have to play with the standard Radeon drivers, until I get them right. Thanks.

well... what exactly is the problem? Also, remember 3D in X is EXPERIMENTAL (but relativiely stable). And what games are you playing... cause I wanna know some good linux games OR CAD if that's what you're doing.

A friend of mine has UT and Quake III working flawlessly at 1600x1200 resolution. He has a GF3, and I guess NVIDIA 3d support is easier to come by for X than for ATI.

well I'm doing the same thing (well at 1024x768) with my AIW 128 pro. I got 3d accel to work quite easily on my Rage XL and could get 37fps in some simple 3d games like armagetron. What X are you using? Try updating both X and drivers.

I'm using Gnome on redhat 8. I'm not sure that any updates at this point would help. I've recompiled to the latest kernel as of 11-8-02. I'll have to work on it tonight, and see if I can figure anything else out. Thanks.
