I have been having problem after problem with my new build. First, my AMD processor was defective. One of the small trasnistors in the middle of the underside fell off. It looked like it wasn't soddered on well. It took a few weeks for AMD to send me a replacement. After that, I fried my 2 HDD's. That was an expensive mistake I'll never make again. And now, it looks like my IDE controllers on my motherboard went on me.
What else can go wrong???
Oh, and as a side note, I've reinstalled windows exactly 20 times since I got the new build. Just various problems that corrupted the O/S. Such as installing drivers for my Soundblaster Live! 5.1.
I don't know if being a techie is good thing. The more you know, the more complicated the problems are. People I know who don't know much about their computers almost never have any major problems with their systems. I, on the other hand, seem to always get envolved, technical and time consuming problems. It can be very frustrating a discouraging at times.
