I am not sure how to fix this problem. I use Microsoft Works intermittently for some tasks, and use the calendar a lot for one of my websites. Recently, when I tried to open the calendar I got this error:

Works Cannot Access One or More Files Needed to Run Calendar

Evidently, I have a corrupted file (Mswkscal.wcd). I found this (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q303858) in the knowledge base. My question is, how do I reinstall Works when I don't have a CD? Works was pre-installed on my computer before I bought it. I looked in the Works file a saw no .e x e files whatsoever to repair or reinstall. Does this mean I have to buy a CD? Before I resort to that, any suggestions on some other program that will give me a good, portable calendar function?

Thanks, Kathy

First off I would contact the vendor about not providing you with a disc. If they put a M$ product on your computer they should provide the disc.

If that doesn't work you might be able to get the file from someone else to try to see if it does repair the problem. It is a pretty common program and you can pick up oem versions for next to nothing.

Thanks Tuf, I'll try your suggestions. I think I might know someone who has a disc.
