This is the sixth time on four different PC’s that this error has popped up:
Error:
Excel caused a general protection fault in module USER.EXE 0004:000003F0
Second error:
0E:016F:BFF8E64B
This error pops up as soon as Excel is opened. My OS is ME, program's used are Office 2000, Acrobat 5.0 & NAV Corp.
I have found in the past that the only solution is to re-load the OS….Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If that is happening immediately upon opening Excel, with nothing other than the listed apps running, then I suggest you have a faulty install of Excel (or possibly ME).
If it keeps happening on different PCs (especially with different versions of Windows or ME), then I suggest you return the Excel (or Office) CDs to MS or the vendor for a replacement.

Try this out. Rename the C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\Excel.xlb file. Maybe change it to Excel.old.
This file deals with personalized tool bars. Try Excel again.

At some point in time you may have opened a corrupted Excel file which then corrupted your .xlb file.
