I formatted my hard drive about 3 months ago and reinstalled ME no problems, but during the installation I created 4. X 2gigabyte partitions (my hard drive is 8gigs) Now I find that the primary partition C: is not large enough and I decided to change the size of the partition with Partition Magic 7 but in the readme file it says that if you change the partition sizes on the hard drive, you may experience loss of data or files when you uninstall ME. and create problems with your computer. So does this mean that the only way I can change the partitions while ME is installed on this computer, is to reformat and reinstall ME again. I have ME installed on the C: partition which is nearly full but surely if I want to change the partition sizes when reinstalling ME. I have to reformat all my other partitions to change their size and if I do, this I will also lose my programs etc on these partitions and have to reinstall those. Is it possible to change the partition size when reinstalling ME without formatting the other partitions or is there another way this can be done. Or is there later version than PM7 that doesn't have this problem.

When messing with the partitions, there is always a risk of data loss, but for the most part, it shouldn't be a problem as I have used PM with all versions of Win9X, NT. 2K, and XP.

Thanks Hal. In view of what you said. I went ahead and resized the partitions without a hitch.
If I have to uninstall ME for any reason, will it now be necessary for me to resize the partitions back to their original sizes. before uninstalling Or do you think it doesn't make any difference.
Has anyone else had experience with ME and PM in this regard.

Won't make any difference. With 12 partitions spread over 3 drives and 150 gig, Partition Magic is my friend :D
You do get the odd dire warning about resizing the primary active partition over 8 gig, but this is rarely a real problem. I think that has been fixed in PM8.
