I would like to know if there is any software which can log the IP address of the computer who access to my shared drive. My computer is connected to a LAN and it happens that someone is placing a virus to my comp. I'm running windows 98.

A firewall program will do this, and it may also be set to block access from the computer in suspicion. A good free one is Zonalarm, get it from grc.com. After you install it, go into settings and make sure logging is enabled, and suits your needs.
