That's just plain sad. :( There was something like that posted here several months ago, but back then they were talking about banning just the violent video games. Kiddie games and such were fine though. Guess they figured to take care of the problem with one swoop.

First time I watched something being debated within the state legislature I was amazed that people that ignorant of issues were given the responsibility of determining anything about those issues.

What further amazed me was to see pieces of good legislation have imbeciles attach things to that legislation trying to slide in along with it because it couldn't stand on its own merits. Too many good pieces of legislation have died that way because they had to be rejected for those add-ins alone. It doesn't matter if it's a bill on health care... if it looks like it's going to pass and you have a bill you're trying to pass on traffic lights that you don't think will go through, just make an addendum to a bill that you think will pass.

It's crazy. It's outrageously out of control. It's my fault and your fault for electing people who have no clue to decide the rules we have to live by and follow.

Misery loves company so I'm glad to see there are idiots in other countries, too.

Hehe, this bill was passed about 5 months ago and repealed about 4 months ago. And it wasn't violence, it was online gambling they tried to stop.

We still have idiot lawmakers ::nodnodnods::

According to the article, there actually was an arrest made over a Counterstrike lan party.

Besides, I'd like to think the world learned *something* from Prohibition. Apparently not.

At times I travel overseas for work and I got a warning from the State Department that even games on cell phones were prohibited. You could possess it but you couldn't use it. It was long after that it was lifted. Apparently a well intended but poorly aimed law.
