I have Win2k installed.
Do you load mobo, video, and sound card drivers like you do in Win98SE, or is there a different procedure?
TIA

i wouldn't think there is a difference. when i did my 2k install i did it in that order and it worked fine.
but i have only done about 5 2k installs all without a hitch
just my 2 cents.

Zaney123,
You're right, it went without a hitch. I have the mobo drivers, video, and sound card drivers installed and everything is working fine.
Except for internet connection.
W2K recognized my NIC and I have link to my router, but now I need to make a connection. Do you know how to set up W2K connection with DSL on a router?

dont have dsl and have not worked with routers yet. those subjects i haven't learned yet. taking one step at a time.`
i assume someone else does though but just a thought,
doesnt 2k have the wizard?

Yeh, Zany, it has a wizard but there is a dummy trying to use it.
No problem though. I'm posting from my W2K connection now. Got it going.

Hope you enjoy it Carl. Once I had an alternative to 9X I never looked back! I don't miss any of em ...ever!

Tuf,
So far I am enjoying it. Its a matter of learning new things and what W2K expects from me.
I did find a little "patch" from WinXP that gives me "msconfig". I don't want all the different things starting.
W2K didn't like it at first, but I think I have it working ok.
Is there a place in W2k that is like msconfig?
