Routing phone through SB platinium 5.1

I notice there is a (phone) option on my SB platinum 5.1 card.

Can I route phone calls through this and talk via my computer?

I don't mean the online phones but using my regular phone?

So I would assume you could use your computer as an answering machine. There are tons of software products that use a modem for this function. Maybe since a lot of computers don't have modems anymore it is a plus if you want to have the most expensive answering machine on the block.
