Hello! I have recently been given a laptop. It is a Panasonic Model # CF-25. It has a 133 Mhz. Pentium, 1.44 Gig Harddrive. It apppears to be in excellent condition. I realize that it is outdated, but I would like to get it going. My problem is that when I turn it on, after the memory count, it prompts me for password that I have no idea what it is. I can not contact anyone else to help me get past this problem. Panasonic only gives me the run-around. I was able to get a manual on it from Panasonic, but that is it. Does this have CMOS switch or what do I do to re-set? If I could get into bios, I think that I could install Windows 95 from floppys and get unit working. Thanks for any help.

Hello there.
I have one of those, and your right it is pretty outdated, but if you just want it for some basic stuff it will do the job. They are rugged too. We were told the military uses those but with a membrane keyboard, and I have seen them in police vehicles. Actually when we got ours 1996, we were told that went for 6999.00 because of that case they are in, some special titanium alloy or something and we got wireless modems with ours too. Anyways, I opened mine up once, and just be real careful if you open it up, I remember a hidden screw that I couldn't find and about ripped the thing apart, and be real careful of the ribbon that goes up to the screen. I don't remember but there has to be a cmos battery in there. Maybe if I'm real motivated later I'll open mine up and look for you!
